I've been on a journey to get healthy. All my life I have been obsessed with food, but in an unhealthy way. Four and a half years ago a friend told me, "Chris, you have to channel your obsession from eating food to producing food...MAKE good food, food that is healthy, appetizing, food you WANT TO EAT. And in the process you can learn how to lose weight."
So I did exactly that. And it worked.
I was very unhealthy. I weighed almost 300 pounds, I was on a ton of medications, I couldn't do many of the things I really once enjoyed...even sitting on an airplane was embarrassing, because I had to ask for a seat belt extender and I couldn't put my tray table down. So I lost 115 pounds in one year, with diet and exercise, only to find out all my medications were masking a serious medical condition which would shut down my metabolism for a whole year. So I gained back all the weight...
But now, I'm back, doing it a second time, and six months in, I'm ready to share what I've learned the first time, and the second time around. Let's make this journey together.
